Martin Fauskanger to leave FK Haugesund
After more than four years at FK Haugesund, including over three years as CEO, Martin Fauskanger has announced his decision to step down. He first joined the Norwegian club in 2021 as Marketing Director before being promoted to CEO the following year. Fauskanger will remain in his position until a successor is appointed to ensure a smooth transition.
David Simoens joins Cercle Brugge KSV
Cercle Brugge KSV has appointed David Simoens as its new Head of Operations. He joins the club from Royal Knokke FC, where he served as Chief Operating Officer for the past three years. Simoens brings additional experience in facility management and logistics from previous roles at Interparking and Carrefour. At Cercle, he will play a key role in the club’s operational development, including the construction of its new training complex.
Ignacio Beristain Borra joins Rio Ave FC
Ignacio Beristain Borra has started a new role as CEO and Board Advisor at Rio Ave FC. He takes on this position after nearly five years as President of Estoril Praia. Beristain Borra previously held senior leadership roles at Fanatics and adidas, bringing extensive international experience in sports business and brand management to his new position in Portuguese football.
Andy Mitchell departs Lega Serie A USA
After more than two years leading Lega Serie A’s U.S. operations, Andy Mitchell has announced his departure. He joined the league in 2023 as President and CEO, USA, guiding its North American growth strategy and strengthening its commercial and media footprint. Before joining Serie A, Mitchell held senior leadership positions at Meta, Facebook, and CLEAR.
