Jonathan Verge leaves Girona FC
Jonathan Verge has departed Girona FC, where he served as Global Partnerships Sales Manager, responsible for developing and managing international sponsorships and commercial relationships as part of the City Football Group. He held the role for nearly three years, during a transformative period for the club that included UEFA Champions League qualification. Verge’s previous experience includes roles at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, Atlético de Madrid, and Palco23/Mundo Deportivo, along with advisory and lecturing work across the sports industry.
Martyn Hawkins joins Everton
Martyn Hawkins has joined Everton FC as Chief Financial Officer, following more than a decade with City Football Group, where he most recently served as Group Finance Director. Prior to that, he held senior finance roles at Manchester City FC and worked as a Sports Business Consultant at Deloitte. Most recently, he also briefly ran his own advisory firm focused on the sports industry.
Richard Morris joins Brentford
Richard Morris has joined Brentford FC as Venue Sales Director. He most recently served as Head of Commercial at Swansea City AFC and previously held the same role at Cheltenham Town FC. Earlier in his career, he worked in commercial roles with the Professional Cricketers’ Association and at The Kia Oval.
Aidan Mullally takes on new role at The Premier League
Aidan Mullally has taken on a new role as Director of Events and International Engagement at The Premier League, where he previously served as Head of International Engagement. Prior to joining the league, he worked with The Sport Advisory as Director – Strategic & Commercial Advisor and held senior business development roles at Tottenham Hotspur and Deloitte.
