The club from the island of Crete is the ninth football club to join the FBIN Network.
OFI Crete F.C., short for Omilos Filathlon Irakliou, is a professional football club, based in Heraklion, Crete. The club was originally founded in 1925 and its stadium is “Theodoros Vardinogiannis”.
OFI Crete F.C. currently plays in Super League, the top league in Greece.
The membership in the FBIN Network will give the club’s staff access to FBIN’s Content Hub, events, services and the international network of football business professionals working for clubs, leagues, associations, and companies.
Thomas Maurer, founder of FBIN says: “OFI started a development process recently with a rebranding as the most visible part. We are happy to be able to support CEO Minas Lysandrou and the club in this ongoing process. OFI is a club with the ambition to grow, with great stories to tell and a lot of potential to develop. And they are ready to get inspired and to learn as well as teach”.
Minas Lysandrou, CEO of OFI Crete F.C., says: “Networking is one of the keys to success in football business, and this is the main reason why we are delighted for joining the FBIN family. Sharing ideas, best practices, knowledge and experience within the FBIN framework, will empower our effort to evolve and become even stronger in the football market outside the four lines of the pitch. I would like to congratulate the FBIN Network for the great effort and underline that, as of today, we are confident that we‘ll have a fruitful and win-win collaboration”.
