Weekly Careers Update #29/2026

Squads are taking shape, but so are leadership teams. As clubs continue to prepare for the months ahead, here are the latest executive appointments and career moves from this week’s FBIN Weekly Careers Update.

Maxine Franco joins KRC Genk Ladies
Maxine Franco has been appointed General Manager of KRC Genk Ladies. She takes on the role after spending the past two years in KRC Genk’s Fan Services department, most recently as Young Genkies Coordinator. Alongside her club responsibilities, she has also served as a Match Delegate for the Royal Belgian Football Association.

Linus Wallén promoted at IK Sirius FK
Linus Wallén has been promoted to Commercial Director at IK Sirius FK. Having been with the Swedish club for more than nine years, he most recently served as Head of B2C, following several years as Event Manager. In his new role, he will lead the club’s commercial operations, overseeing partnerships, events, communications and sustainability.

Esko Villman leaves HJK Helsinki
Esko Villman has left HJK Helsinki after more than seven years with the Finnish club. He most recently served as Sales Director, having previously held the role of Sales Manager, where he played a key role in developing the club’s commercial operations and partnership business. Prior to joining HJK, he held senior commercial positions at Forbes Suomi, Circus Marketing and Calcus.com. He is set to begin a new role in mid-August, with further details to be announced soon.

Ben Leaver joins Perth Glory
Ben Leaver has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Perth Glory. He joins the Australian club after most recently serving as Manager, Premier Relationships WA and SA at NAB, having previously spent more than seven years as Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Corporate Treasury Association. Prior to that, he held leadership roles in banking and business consulting.

Mikkel Grove Lindsted appointed Managing Director of F.C. København Kvindefodbold
Mikkel Grove Lindsted has been appointed Managing Director of F.C. København Kvindefodbold A/S. He will continue alongside his current role as Commercial Director of F.C. København, where he has led the club’s commercial operations since 2022. Prior to joining the Danish club, he served as Director of Commercial Partnerships at the Danish Football Association (DBU).

Ilona Iwańska returns to Radomiak Radom
Ilona Iwańska has returned to Radomiak Radom as Sponsorship & Marketing Specialist. She rejoins the Polish club after previously leading its marketing and communications activities during the 2015/16 season, before building more than a decade of experience in brand communication, social media and marketing. In her new role, she will focus on sponsorship development, partner relations and marketing initiatives.

Matthias Gebauer leaves SKN St. Pölten
Matthias Gebauer has left SKN St. Pölten after serving as Managing Director of Business since January 2022. During his tenure, he helped stabilise the club financially, further developed its organisational structures and secured new commercial partnerships. He leaves the club to pursue a new professional challenge.
