Tom Julian has been promoted to Head of International Cooperation and Public Relations at Bundesliga International GmbH. Julian joined the organization in 2020 as International Public Relations Manager, navigating challenges such as the COVID-19 pandemic and contributing to the Bundesliga’s global growth through innovative digital communication strategies. In his new role, he will continue to oversee international communications while expanding his focus to engage with institutional partners and support the league’s worldwide development.

Bálint Timár steps up at Ferencvárosi Torna Club
Bálint Timár has been promoted to Head of Marketing at Ferencvárosi Torna Club. Timár has been with the club since 2020, serving as Marketing Manager and Project Leader, where he led the renewal of the club’s webshop and developed creative marketing campaigns for various products. In his new role, he will oversee the club’s marketing strategy and drive its continued growth.

Daniel McEwan joins Chelsea FC
Daniel McEwan has joined Chelsea FC as Director of Partnerships. He arrives from McLaren Racing, where he most recently served as Director of Partnerships during his six-and-a-half-year tenure. McEwan also brings experience from roles at leading sports marketing agencies and will now report to Chelsea’s Chief Revenue Officer, Casper Stylsvig.

Céline Mawet appointed at RWDM
Céline Mawet has been named Head of Marketing at RWDM – Racing White Daring Molenbeek. Mawet brings extensive experience in sports communication and marketing, having previously worked at KMSK Deinze. In her announcement, she expressed excitement about collaborating with the club’s young and passionate team to drive growth and strengthen connections with supporters and partners.

Sebastian Gärtner promoted at 1. FC Nürnberg
Sebastian Gärtner has been promoted to Head of Board Office at 1. FC Nürnberg. Gärtner has been with the club for over seven years, progressing through various roles, including Head of Business Development & Operations and Executive Board Officer. In his new position, he will oversee strategic board topics across all departments, guide the club’s future direction, and manage key initiatives such as digital transformation and process optimization.

Joan Carrera López joins ATP Tour
Joan Carrera López has joined the ATP Tour as Vice President of Licensing. In this role, he will oversee the development and expansion of the organization’s licensing and retail initiatives, aiming to bring innovative products and experiences to tennis fans worldwide. Carrera López previously held senior positions at AC Milan, Formula 1, and WWE, where he gained extensive expertise in licensing and retail operations.

Marleen Groß named at Bayer 04 Leverkusen
Marleen Groß has started as Head of Brand at Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Groß brings extensive experience in sports branding and marketing, having previously served as Director of Marketing & Strategy at FC Schalke 04 and Leader of Business Unit Brand, Culture & Digital at HSV. Her expertise in brand management will play a key role in shaping Bayer Leverkusen’s identity and strategy.

Lauren Sumner starts at Sheffield United FC
Lauren Sumner has joined Sheffield United Football Club as Senior Marketing Manager. Sumner previously worked at Blackburn Rovers FC, where she progressed from Marketing Manager to Digital Sales & Marketing Manager, overseeing digital sales initiatives and implementing innovative marketing strategies. With additional experience at Matrix247 and The Lettings Cloud, she brings a strong background in digital marketing and content creation to her new role.

Boriana Stoycheva joins the ECA
Boriana Stoycheva has joined the European Club Association (ECA) as Club Relations Coordinator. Stoycheva brings extensive experience from her roles at CSKA Sofia FC, where she served as Head of International Department, and the Bulgarian Football Union, where she held positions including Women’s Football Development Manager and FIFA TMS Manager. Her career has focused on international relations and football administration, making her well-suited for her new role at the ECA.

Andy Meyer joins the DFB
Andy Meyer has started as Head of Pre-Sales & Sales at the DFB. Meyer brings extensive experience in business development and sales, including over eight years at Bundesliga International GmbH, where he served as Director of Sales Sponsoring, Licensing & Digital Media. Most recently, he worked as Senior Business Development Manager at Red Bull and held roles such as Commercial Director at Red Bull Air Race and Head of Business Development and Sponsoring at Riot Games. Meyer’s career spans a wide range of responsibilities in the sports and esports industries, focusing on partnerships, licensing, and revenue-driven initiatives.
