Samuel Recio Adán joins FC Barcelona
Samuel Recio Adán has started a new role as Commercial Strategy & Business Intelligence at FC Barcelona. He most recently worked at Atlético de Madrid as Partnership Strategy & Business Solutions Executive, and brings previous experience from sponsorship consulting roles at RPM Sports and MKTG Spain.
Peter Silverstone joins Juventus
Peter Silverstone has been appointed Chief Business Officer at Juventus Football Club. He takes on the new role after serving as Chief Commercial Officer at Newcastle United for over three years. His previous experience includes senior commercial positions at Arsenal, OneFootball, Pitch International and Silverstone Sports Consulting.
Luis Arregui joins Real Sporting de Gijón
Luis Arregui has been appointed Business Director at Real Sporting de Gijón. He most recently spent four years at CA Osasuna, where he served as Commercial Director and previously led international business development and marketing. Earlier in his career, he worked at Real Madrid, KPMG Spain, and Universidad de Navarra.
Paraskevas Spiliopoulos joins Panathinaikos
Paraskevas Spiliopoulos has started a new role as Senior Partnerships Associate at Panathinaikos FC, returning to the club during a period of major commercial transformation. He previously worked in marketing and partnerships roles at BenQ ZOWIE, Coca-Cola HBC and Panathinaikos Esports, and brings experience across esports, brand strategy, and international sponsorship.
Thomas Bonser joins Fulham FC as CFO
Fulham FC have appointed Thomas Bonser as their new Chief Financial Officer. He joins from Nottingham Forest, where he spent four years in the same role. Bonser previously held senior finance positions at Wasps Rugby and Derby County, bringing extensive experience in football and sports finance.
Fernando Sotomayor joins Real Madrid in Strategy role
Fernando Sotomayor has joined Real Madrid C.F. as part of the club’s Commercial Strategy department. He returns to football after nearly two years, most recently serving as Senior Commercial Insights Manager at the Alpine Formula One Team. His previous experience includes roles at FC Barcelona, New York City FC, and FC Bayern München, focusing on business intelligence, strategy, and partnerships.
Herjan Pullen joins AFC Ajax as Supporter Liaison Officer
Herjan Pullen has started a new role as Supporter Liaison Officer at AFC Ajax. He returns to Amsterdam after nearly two years at UEFA, where he coordinated supporter liaison projects. Pullen previously held long-term positions with the Ajax supporters’ association, the Dutch national supporters collective, and Football Supporters Europe, focusing on fan engagement and matchday coordination.
Andrew Middleton joins Everton FC
Andrew Middleton has joined Everton FC as President of Business Operations. He brings commercial and marketing leadership experience from his time at Evelyn Partners, British Gas, and easyJet. His appointment supports the club’s strategic growth ambitions during a transformative period.
Jim Gillespie appointed CEO of Rangers FC
Rangers FC have announced the appointment of Jim Gillespie as their new Chief Executive Officer. He brings extensive leadership experience from his time as CEO of Kibble, one of Scotland’s leading social care charities, and as Vice Chairman of St Mirren FC, where he contributed to both sporting and financial progress. Gillespie will assume the role later this season, with Fraser Thornton continuing as acting CEO in the interim.
