About Course

Developed in partnership with the Slovak Football League, the Club Development Program (CDP) covers six key football business topics over a nine-month period, offering a comprehensive learning experience for football professionals.

The program includes two in-person sessions in Slovakia and access to selected on-site FBIN events, providing real-world exposure to the latest industry trends and developments.

By combining practical learning with expert knowledge, the CDP ensures participants are equipped with the tools and skills needed for long-term professional growth and career advancement.

Course Content

Fan Relations
The “Fan Experience” course offers an in-depth understanding of the FANformula, focusing on how clubs, organizations, and event managers can enhance fan engagement. Through the lens of the club, the fan, and the overall event experience, participants will learn how to create memorable and impactful fan interactions. The course covers essential and pragmatic tools which you can use instantly for improving fan loyalty, elevating the matchday experience, and maximizing the emotional connection between fans and your club.

Commercialization
This module offers a deep dive into the commercialization of football clubs. You'll explore key aspects of sponsorships and partnerships, strategies for internationalization, boosting merchandise sales, leveraging digital platforms, and optimizing ticket sales and pricing. Through practical examples and case studies, you'll gain insights into maximizing revenue streams and building sustainable growth strategies.

Financial Management
This module provides a comprehensive exploration of financial management of football clubs, tailored for (future) football managers. You'll delve into the basics of financial management, the essentials of financial forecasting, mastering the art of managing revenue streams, and uncovering the secrets behind effective performance measurement and the new UEFA Financial Sustainability regulations. Through real-world examples, including case studies from top football clubs, you’ll gain practical insights into strategic decision-making that can make or break an organization.

Data-driven Marketing
This module delves into the core principles and practical applications of data-driven marketing. It covers the essential components of leveraging data to craft effective marketing strategies, optimize sponsorship opportunities, and drive engagement through digital platforms. Data-driven Marketing is the art of achieving your marketing objectives while balancing the marketing objectives, technology limitations and legal compliance. Data-driven Marketing is not just about sending email campaigns to an enthusiastic fanbase.
