Adelaide United FC joins FBIN Network as first club from Asia-Pacific

Founded in 2003, the South Australian-based club was crowned Champions of its domestic competition, the A-League, in 2016 and holds the Australian record for the most FFA Cup triumphs, lifting the trophy three times.

Affectionately known as ‘The Reds’ by its loyal supporter base, Adelaide was also the first Australian football club to qualify for the Final of the AFC Champions League in the 2008 iteration of the competition, whilst also participated in the FIFA Club World Cup in 2008.

The club plays its home matches at Coopers Stadium, which is regarded as one of the best purpose-build football venues in Australia.

As a member of the FBIN Network, Adelaide United will benefit from a vast network of valuable contacts and information, as well as having access to services such as consulting and evaluation in non-sporting areas.

Founder of FBIN, Thomas Maurer, said: “Over the last few months we have come to know Adelaide United as a modern and innovative club, open to new ideas and focused on constant development.

“The club always has an eye on other continents and other sports and is not afraid to try things out, and this makes Adelaide United a perfect member for the FBIN Network.

“I am happy that we are now supporting them as the first club from the Asia-Pacific area, and I welcome them to the family.”

Adelaide United’s Head of Marketing and Communications, Marius Zanin, said: “We’re extremely excited to be joining the FBIN Network and proud to be the first club doing so from the Asia-Pacific region.

“As a club, we believe our digital and marketing team is one of the best in Australia and joining FBIN will only enable us to improve further and explore new and innovative opportunities and build business relations with other clubs.”
