Johann Ingi Gunnarsson appointed Chief Product Officer at TicketCo
TicketCo has appointed Johann Ingi Gunnarsson as its first-ever Chief Product Officer. He joins from the fintech sector, where he held senior product and engineering roles at Ohpen, the world’s first cloud banking platform, and at Ninety Nine, which he helped steer through a strategic pivot and subsequent acquisition by JP Morgan Chase. In his new role, he will lead TicketCo’s product strategy with a focus on long-term innovation, structured roadmaps, and enhancing the overall fan journey for sports clubs across Europe.
Mark Stephenson appointed Chief Technology Officer at TicketCo
Mark Stephenson has joined TicketCo as Chief Technology Officer. He brings extensive experience in technology leadership, having previously held senior roles at companies including Teradata and having guided Intelligence Fusion and Clixifix through to successful acquisitions. Earlier in his career, he founded his own web development company and worked in event technology and analytics. At TicketCo, he will lead the engineering function and support the company’s continued product and market development across its European operations.
Tony Iafrate takes on new role at Miami United FC
Tony Iafrate has taken on the role of Chief Executive Officer at Miami United FC, where he previously served as General Manager. He first worked at the club from 2018 to 2019 as Assistant to the Chief Executive Officer and Sporting Director, and returned in 2023 as General Manager. Earlier in his career, he was Chief Executive Officer and Founder at Miami Beach Club de Fútbol and held a leadership role at Palm Beach Stars.
Rodrigo Gürel Oliveira Koparal joins Portuguese Football Federation
Rodrigo Gürel Oliveira Koparal has joined the Portuguese Football Federation as Strategic Planning Manager. He previously worked as a Financial Services Consultant at Qaracter and spent nearly three years as Business Operations Analyst at Sovos. Earlier in his career, he held a Financial Strategy and Operations IT Analyst role at Deloitte.
Simon Van Kerckhoven to depart RAEC Mons
Simon Van Kerckhoven’s mandate as Managing Director of RAEC Mons has come to an end following changes in the club’s ownership structure and leadership. He had held the role since August 2025. In addition to his work at RAEC Mons, he is the Founder of Zurafa Football Capital and DIAS, and previously served as Chief Operating Officer at Lommel SK and Sports Marketing Specialist at Golazo Brands.
Dominic Urech appointed Managing Director at FC Luzern
Dominic Urech has been appointed Managing Director of FC Luzern, effective 1 June 2026. He currently serves as Consumer Business Portfolio Director EMEA at 3M, where he has held senior leadership roles since 2008.
Tomas Maria Aricò joins FC Internazionale Milano
Tomas Maria Aricò has joined FC Internazionale Milano as Business Integration & Development Director. He previously spent over 15 years at Juventus, most recently serving as Head of Strategy & Operations, and earlier holding senior roles including Head of Revenue Performance and Head of Partnerships.
Pete Wynne to depart Wrexham AFC
Pete Wynne has departed his role as Head of Tickets & Memberships at Wrexham AFC after more than four years at the club. He has since taken on a position as Client Account Manager at Ticketmaster Sport.
Aidan Gorman joins Blackburn Rovers Football Club
Aidan Gorman has joined Blackburn Rovers Football Club as Ticketing and Platform Operations Manager. He previously served as Interim Head of Ticketing at Rochdale AFC and spent over seven years at Hibernian Football Club, most recently as Head of Ticketing.
Jerry Newman to depart Paris Saint-Germain
Jerry Newman has departed his role as Chief Digital & Innovation Officer at Paris Saint-Germain after more than two years at the club. He previously spent over seven years at Meta in senior partnership roles and held digital leadership positions at Chelsea Football Club and The Football Association.
Thibaut Chatelard joins Olympique Lyonnais
Thibaut Chatelard has joined Olympique Lyonnais as Senior Vice President, Marketing & Revenue and Executive Committee Member. He previously served as Chief Marketing & Revenue Officer and Executive Committee Member at AS Monaco and spent over a decade in senior marketing and commercial leadership roles at Ligue Nationale de Rugby.
