Club Brugge announces “Club Innovation” with Thomas Rypens in leading role
Club Brugge has promoted Thomas Rypens to Innovation & Insights Director. He will lead the newly launched ‘Club Innovation’ initiative, focusing on long-term innovation across sports, business, and other departments. A familiar face in the FBIN community and a regular speaker at FBIN events, Rypens brings extensive experience in strategic development. His goal is to strengthen the club’s innovation management process and drive progress both on and off the pitch.

Canadian Premier League appoints George Fadel
The Canadian Premier League has appointed George Fadel as its new Vice President of Marketing. He joins from North Carolina Courage and North Carolina FC, where he led business solutions and contributed to record attendance figures. Fadel has also worked with the Canadian Olympic Committee, Freestyle Canada, and Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment. He holds a Master’s in Sports Management from Columbia University.

RSC Anderlecht appoints Tim Vanheuverzwijn
RSC Anderlecht has named Tim Vanheuverzwijn as its new Chief Financial Officer. He joins after over 16 years at PwC Belgium, where he most recently served as Audit Director. His experience in financial management and auditing includes work with sports organizations, making him well-suited for his new role at Anderlecht.

Klaas Reynaert to become CEO of Cercle Brugge
Klaas Reynaert will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer at Cercle Brugge on March 3. He transitions from his position as Chief Financial Officer at RSC Anderlecht, where he has served since 2020. Reynaert brings extensive experience in financial management within the football industry to his new role.

FC Schalke 04 appoints Dominik Durben
FC Schalke 04 has named Dominik Durben as Director of Sales & Marketing, effective February 1. He previously held leadership roles at fors.earth and timesarechanging GmbH, focusing on corporate sustainability strategies, and has experience with Sportradar and Sportfive. In his new role, Durben will oversee marketing, sponsorship, partnership management, hospitality, VIP ticketing, merchandising, and Schalke’s support cooperative.

Eintracht Frankfurt promotes Martin Schittko
Eintracht Frankfurt has promoted Martin Schittko to Director of Merchandising. He has been with the club for over 12 years, previously serving as Head of Merchandising and leading product management and licensing. Schittko will now oversee the club’s overall merchandising strategy and operations.

Hibernian FC promotes Adam Tomlinson
Hibernian FC has promoted Adam Tomlinson to Communications Director. He has been with the club since 2021, previously serving as Head of Communications. Before joining Hibernian, Tomlinson spent over seven years at Huddersfield Town in various media and content roles.
