This week’s FBIN Weekly Careers Update features appointments and promotions across fan experience, communications, commercial, finance, executive leadership and matchday operations. The latest moves take place at clubs across England, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany and Sweden.
Mark Hughesman promoted at Lincoln City
Mark Hughesman has been promoted to the newly established role of Head of Fan Experience at Lincoln City. He joined the club as Marketing Manager in the summer. Hughesman previously spent ten years as Marketing Manager at Doncaster Rovers.
Luca Casassa joins Inter
Luca Casassa will join Inter as Communications Director, effective 26 October. He moves from the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games, where he led communications for more than five years. Casassa has previously also worked at Juventus.
Jonathan Gregory joins Wolves
Jonathan Gregory has joined Wolves as Chief Commercial Officer. Most recently, he served as Chief Commercial Officer at Ascot Racecourse, having previously held the same role at Goodwood. Gregory also spent eight years at the Football Association and has worked for Fulham and Leicester City.
Samantha Gordon joins Leicester City
Samantha Gordon has joined Leicester City as Finance Director, marking her return to football after six years. Most recently, she served as Interim Chief Financial Officer at The Queen’s Club. Gordon previously spent three years as Chief Financial Officer at Nottingham Forest.
Christer Abrahamsson joins AIK
Christer Abrahamsson will join AIK as Club Director and CEO. He moves from the Swedish Floorball Federation, where he has served as Secretary General since 2024. Abrahamsson previously spent five years as Club Director and CEO of IK Sirius.
Marco Oliveira promoted at SC Braga
Marco Oliveira has been promoted to Head of Matchday & Activation at SC Braga. He previously served as the club’s Head of Football Matchday Operations, having joined Braga as an intern.
Tom Rawcliffe joins Notts County
Tom Rawcliffe has joined Notts County as Director of Finance. He moves from Nottingham Forest, where he spent six months as Chief Financial Officer. Rawcliffe previously served as Chief Executive Officer of Bristol City.
Carolina Pujol takes on additional responsibilities at Girona FC
Carolina Pujol has taken on responsibility for ticketing and hospitality at Girona FC, becoming Director of Operations, Ticketing & Hospitality. She has led the club’s stadium operations since 2023. Pujol previously worked at Mediapro and LaLiga.
Dominik Genthner joins SV Wehen Wiesbaden
Dominik Genthner has joined SV Wehen Wiesbaden as Chief of Staff. He moves from TRUMPF, where he completed the company’s Graduate Program.
