New leadership, commercial expertise and digital ambition shape this week’s career moves. The latest FBIN Careers Update features an internal promotion, three new appointments and the end of a four-year tenure across European football.

Afonso Quintas joins SC Braga
Afonso Quintas has joined SC Braga as Head of Digital. He moves from Leça FC, where he spent nearly two years as Head of Marketing & Communications. Quintas previously worked as Marketing & Social Media Manager at esports organisation Team Gullit.

Natalie Raine promoted at Newcastle United
Natalie Raine has been promoted to Director of Brand, Marketing & Growth at Newcastle United after serving as Head of Marketing and Brand since joining the club in July 2024. She previously spent more than six years at YouTube, most recently as Head of Consumer Marketing for Music, Partnerships & Connected TV across EMEA. Earlier in her career, Raine held several marketing roles at Amazon over almost six years.

Oli MacFarlane joins Manchester United
Oli MacFarlane has joined Manchester United as Global Sales Director. He moves from SailGP, where he served as Head of Commercial for EMEA for one year. MacFarlane previously spent more than nine years at the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team as Partnership Development Manager and Head of Esports.

JanPaul Landman departs Feyenoord
JanPaul Landman has left Feyenoord after four years as Chief Information Officer, alongside his position as CIO of De Kuip. His work focused on modernising the club’s digital infrastructure and expanding the use of data, technology and AI across the organisation. Landman previously served as CIO of Royal FloraHolland for more than eight years and has held senior IT and transformation roles across several industries.

Kerstin Lutz joins Mercury13
Kerstin Lutz has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Mercury13 and a member of its Board of Directors. She joins the women’s football multi-club ownership group from the Billie Jean King Cup, where she served as CEO since April 2024. Lutz previously spent more than 20 years at TEAM Marketing in senior commercial roles related to UEFA competitions and also served on the Board of Directors of Juventus.
