While the spotlight is on the FIFA Club World Cup, clubs continue to strengthen their teams off the pitch. Here are the latest executive appointments and career moves from this week’s FBIN Weekly Careers Update.
Davide Tino joins ACF Fiorentina
Davide Tino has joined ACF Fiorentina as Global Sales Lead. He arrives after two seasons at Torino FC, where he played a key role in developing global partnerships and sponsorship opportunities, including the club’s new jersey partnership with bet365 Scores, marking the first change of Torino’s principal jersey sponsor in more than a decade. Prior to that, he gained valuable commercial experience at AS Roma, building a strong track record in international partnership sales and business development across Italian football.
Dr. Nico Luckas joins SV Elversberg
Dr. Nico Luckas has been appointed Director of Finance & Operations at SV Elversberg. He joins from the Hager Group, where he spent more than ten years as Senior Financial Specialist, following previous finance roles at proALPHA and PwC.
Giorgos Lagaris joins RB Leipzig
Giorgos Lagaris has joined RB Leipzig as Senior Team Lead Partnership Sales. He returns to the Bundesliga after previously working at FC Bayern Munich and brings extensive commercial leadership experience from PAOK FC, where he most recently served as Chief Commercial Officer, as well as earlier partnership sales roles at SPORTFIVE.
Matthias Reichwald joins AS Monaco
Matthias Reichwald has joined AS Monaco as Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer. He joins after more than nine years at RB Leipzig, where he served as Chief Commercial Officer. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership positions at ECCO Shoes and Odlo.
Niklas Honkanen joins KuPS
Niklas Honkanen has joined Kuopion Palloseura (KuPS) as Sales & Event Coordinator. He joins from Lahti Basketball, where he served as Sales Manager, and also gained sales experience with the Lahti Ski Games and Lahden Pelicans.
Barry Webber joins Luton Town
Barry Webber has joined Luton Town as Managing Director of Power Court Stadium Ltd. He arrives after more than ten years at Crystal Palace, where he most recently served as Chief Commercial Officer. Earlier in his career, he held senior commercial roles at West Ham United and Newcastle United, and served as Chief Executive Officer at Stevenage FC.
Ahmet Schaefer leaves Clermont Foot 63
Ahmet Schaefer has stepped down as President of Clermont Foot 63 after more than seven years in the role, during which he oversaw the club’s historic promotion to Ligue 1. Alongside his presidency, he has served as Founder & CEO of Core Sports Capital and previously held leadership roles with the Arab Gulf Cup Football Federation, MP & Silva and FIFA.
Ondřej Šnaidauf joins FC Viktoria Plzeň
Ondřej Šnaidauf has joined FC Viktoria Plzeň as Chief Marketing Officer. He arrives from Czech Ice Hockey, where he served as Sales and Marketing Director, following previous marketing and sponsorship roles at Fortuna Entertainment Group.
