Florian Holzbrecher to Kickers Offenbach
Florian Holzbrecher will join Kickers Offenbach as Managing Director in mid-June, working alongside Christian Hock in the club’s executive leadership. After 14 years at SV Darmstadt 98, where he played a key role in the club’s rise from the 3. Liga to the Bundesliga, he now takes on a new challenge in the Regionalliga Südwest. In his new role, Holzbrecher will be responsible for the overall management and strategic development of the Offenbach-based club. He is also the founder of tweam, a platform that connects elite athletes with companies to foster inspiration and professional growth through sport.
Sebastian Helbig leaves BSC Young Boys
Sebastian Helbig has left BSC Young Boys after more than seven years at the club. Most recently, he served as Head of Department Sponsoring, a role he held since 2021. Prior to that, he was Head of Newsroom and worked in various functions within the sales and sponsoring department. Helbig joined YB in 2015 as a trainee and developed within the organization over nearly a decade.
Nuno Moura leaves Federação Portuguesa de Futebol
Nuno Moura has stepped down as Chief Marketing & Commercial Officer at the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF), a position he held since 2016. During his tenure, he also served as Chief Marketing Officer for the successful FIFA World Cup 2030 bid by Portugal, Spain, and Morocco, and founded FPF eSports. Prior to joining FPF, Moura held global marketing roles at Nike and was active in advisory and academic capacities, including on UEFA’s Marketing Advisory Committee. He will continue supporting FPF in an advisory role.
Bertrand Vedovotto to AS Monaco
Bertrand Vedovotto has joined AS Monaco as Commercial Development Director. In his new role, he is responsible for driving sales in the areas of partnerships and hospitality. Vedovotto previously spent over nine years at the Union Cycliste Internationale, most recently as Head of Commercial and Media Rights. His earlier positions include roles at A.S.O. and L’Équipe, focusing on sponsorship, media rights, and business development.
Joost Broerse to PEC Zwolle
Joost Broerse will take over as CEO of PEC Zwolle on 1 September 2025. He returns to the club where he previously worked as Commercial Director from 2015 to 2018 and played professionally between 2012 and 2015. Broerse joins from FC Utrecht, where he served as Commercial Director and Partnerships Director for nearly seven years. His move marks a return to familiar ground as PEC prepares for its continued development in Dutch professional football.
Jan H. Wappler leaves Deportivo La Coruña
Jan H. Wappler has left his role as Director of Corporate Affairs at Real Club Deportivo de La Coruña. Over two seasons, he was responsible for the club’s corporate division, including communications, brand and marketing, international projects, and operational areas such as ticketing, hospitality, and matchday services. Prior to his time in Spain, Wappler held roles with Racing Unleashed, FIFA, and UD Ibiza, and gained experience in event and marketing management at VfL Wolfsburg. He is now returning to Switzerland and exploring new opportunities.
James Johnson leaves Football Australia
James Johnson has stepped down as Chief Executive Officer of Football Australia after more than five years in the role. He had led the organisation since January 2020, overseeing structural reforms and the development of the domestic game, including the national teams and the successful co-hosting of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Johnson previously held senior positions at City Football Group, FIFA, and the Asian Football Confederation. His next professional step has not yet been announced.
Hanneke Jaanen to VVV-Venlo
Hanneke Jaanen will officially assume the role of Commercial Manager at VVV-Venlo on 1 July. She will be responsible for all revenue-generating activities related to partnerships, sponsorship, and hospitality. Jaanen has been supporting the club’s commercial team in recent months and brings extensive industry experience, including nearly eleven years at PSV, where she led the media and content team. Most recently, she held senior roles at sports marketing agencies Triple Double and Golazo Brands.
Tim Vanheuverzwijn to RSC Anderlecht
Tim Vanheuverzwijn has been appointed Chief Financial Officer at RSC Anderlecht as of May 2025. He joins the Belgian club following nearly six years as Audit Director at PwC Belgium, where he previously held various senior roles over a decade-long tenure. Vanheuverzwijn brings extensive experience in financial management, auditing, and corporate governance.
Charlene Shore-Henderson to Scottish FA
Charlene Shore-Henderson has been appointed Head of Marketing, Content & Digital Innovation at the Scottish Football Association. She joins from Birmingham City FC, where she most recently served as Global Brand Leader. Prior to that, she held senior marketing roles at Rangers FC over a four-year period, including as Marketing Director. Shore-Henderson also brings nearly 11 years of experience from adidas, where she worked in digital and strategic marketing functions.
Manu Leroy leaves Royal Belgian FA
Manu Leroy has left the Royal Belgian Football Association after six and a half years. He served as Director of Marketing & Communications and held the role of Acting CEO from April 2023 to January 2024. During his tenure, he oversaw the federation’s marketing transformation, supported major campaigns, and contributed to strategic initiatives in commercial development and women’s football. Leroy previously worked at Telenet in various senior roles and is currently lecturing in sports marketing at Thomas More University of Applied Sciences.
Luca Adornato to Inter
Luca Adornato has been appointed Brand & Marketing Director at FC Internazionale Milano. He joins the club after more than three years at Salone del Mobile.Milano, where he served as Marketing and Communications Director. Prior to that, he spent over 17 years at Juventus FC in various senior roles, including Head of Marketing and Head of Media Rights Revenue. Adornato brings extensive experience in brand strategy, digital marketing, and business development within the sports and entertainment sector.
