Nico Hruby departs SV Werder Bremen
After more than six years as Chief Digital Officer, Nico Hruby has announced his departure from SV Werder Bremen. Joining the club in 2019 after several years supporting Werder in external roles, he played a key part in driving its digital transformation and innovation strategy. Before his time in Bremen, Hruby held senior positions at Sportradar, BTD Group, and TSV 1860 Munich.
Niklas Söderström appointed Deputy CEO at Malmö FF
Malmö FF has announced an organizational restructuring and introduced the new position of Deputy CEO, appointing Niklas Söderström to the role. Söderström has been with the club since 2008, most recently serving as Head of Business Development and a member of the management team since 2021.
John Dagas joins Adelaide United as Head of Commercial
Adelaide United has appointed John Dagas as its new Head of Commercial, effective October 27. He brings extensive leadership and business strategy experience from roles at AnglicareSA and the National Youth Employment Body. In his new position, Dagas will oversee the club’s commercial strategy and partnerships, driving growth and community engagement.
Finn Van der Kaa appointed Operations Manager at K. Beerschot V.A.
Finn Van der Kaa has been appointed Operations Manager at K. Beerschot V.A. He has been with the club since 2018, most recently serving as Head of Academy Development and Head of Marketing, Ticketing & Events. Until October 2025, he was also active within the Pro League, contributing to committees focused on youth development, data, and innovation.
Ryan R. Shaffer joins Detroit City FC as Vice President of Marketing
Ryan R. Shaffer will join Detroit City FC in November as Vice President of Marketing. He moves to Michigan after nearly three years with Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, where he most recently served in the same position. Alongside his club role, Shaffer has also been Marketing Director at Highmark Stadium and an Adjunct Professor at Point Park University.
